Maxi Priest – Close To You (1990)

The 80’s and 90’s were great years for British reggae star Maxi Priest, who had a number of hit singles in the music charts. His most famous singles were a cover of Robert Palmer’s (British singer) “Some Guys Have All The Luck” in 1987, and “Wild World” in 1988. In 1990, Maxi had a UK top 10 and a #1 hit single in the US charts with “Close To You” from his album “Bonafide” – it’s a great song, check it below!

Steve Levine – Believin’ It All (1984)

Steve Levine is a British record producer and composer who is most famous for his work with Culture Club. In 1984, Steve had a brief time in the UK charts with his only single “Believin’ It All”. The song was written and composed by Steve and Boy George, and was sung by John Alder. “Believin’ It All” is a great song, but it was not a big hit, the song reached the highest chart position at #84 before disappearing into obscurity in 1984. If you are lucky, you can still find copies of the vinyl singles online to purchase. The single has never been re-issued nor remastered onto CD or digitally.
