Looking Back: Doris Day

Here’s a known fact about myself. I have always liked singer and actress Doris Day (who is now 91 years old) ever since I was a kid, and her albums were always played around the house – fond memories! 🙂 I love the old great artists from the 40s, 50s and 60s etc., they include Mario Lanza, Frank Sinatra, Dusty Springfield, Nat King Cole and more – legends! For now, enjoy the wonderful golden voice of Miss Doris Day!

Michael Franks – Never Satisfied (1983)

From Wiki: Michael Franks is a jazz singer and songwriter from the United States. He has recorded with a variety of well-known artists, such as Patti Austin, Brenda Russell, Art Garfunkel, and David Sanborn.

I discovered Michael Franks about 16 years ago on a smooth jazz radio station in the UK. The first song I heard was “The Art of Love”, and I loved it instantly! I went out and got Michael’s greatest hits album “The Best of Michael Franks: A Backward Glance”, and from there I started collecting his albums – highly recommended listening for smooth Jazz fans !
