Happy Birthday Bill Champlin!

Disco legend Donna Summer said, “Wow, Bill, you’re the best known unknown singer in the world!”

Many of you may be unaware that Grammy award songwriter Bill Champlin wrote many hit songs for top recording artists including George Benson (“Turn Your Love Around”), Earth Wind And Fire (“After The Love Is Gone”), Al Jarreau (“Just To Be Loved”), and more.

To most fans, Bill Champlin was a member, as well as lead singer of the band Chicago for 28 years.  Bill is best known for singing Chicago’s hit song “Hard Habit To Break” along with Peter Cetera from their smash hit album “Chicago 17”. In 2009 Bill left the band to continue his solo career, and has released a number of albums and projects including collaborations with other artists over the years: Sons Of Champlin, Peter Cetera, Joseph Williams (Toto), Danny Seraphine (Chicago/California Transit Authority), and more.

If you love well written top class Jazz/Soul/Blues music, then check out Bill’s latest album “No Place Left To Fall “, which is highly recommended listening!

I would like to mention that today is Bill’s birthday (born on the 21st May 1947), and I would like to wish him all the very best with everything! Happy Birthday Bill Champlin!   🎂🎁
